Ukraine has detained the Usko Mfu vessel on the Danube, accusing it of illegally crossing the state border and transporting cargo to Russian-occupied Sevastopol. This is reported by Lloyd's List , UNN .
"Authorities arrested the cargo ship while it was sailing across the Danube River, accusing it of illegally crossing the national border of Ukraine and transporting goods to and from Russian-occupied Sevastopol," the article says.
The Cameroon-flagged cargo ship Usko Mfu was sailing from the Moldovan port of Giurgiulesti on the Danube when it was approached by a vessel and forced to anchor in the Ukrainian port of Reni.
According to Lloyd's List, an analysis of Lloyd's List Intelligence data shows that Usko Mfu passed between Ukrainian and Romanian waters, heading downstream. The vessel was searched and banned from leaving the port.
The Usko Mfu vessel was loaded with barley, its final destination being the Greek city of Souda.
The Ukrainian authorities have not officially commented on this information.
