The Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the United States and Australia have called on countries that have influence on Russia, in particular China, to make efforts to end the war in Ukraine and stop supporting the Russian defense industry. This is stated in a joint statement following the bilateral talks, which was released by the Pentagon, according to UNN.

Reportedly, the parties condemned Russia's war against Ukraine and reiterated their call for Russia to "immediately, fully and unconditionally withdraw its troops from the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine." They also called on the Kremlin to pay for the damage caused to Ukraine, noting that Russia is obliged to do so under international law.
The diplomats expressed support for the Peace Summit in Ukraine and reaffirmed the need to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in accordance with the UN Charter.

"They called on all those who have influence over Russia, especially China, to make efforts to end the war and to stop supporting Russia's military-industrial base. They reaffirmed their position that those who support Russia's illegal war will face consequences, and reiterated their intention to increase spending against actors in third countries that materially support Russia's war," the statement said.
The foreign and defense ministers of the two countries strongly condemned the growing partnership between the DPRK and Russia, including Pyongyang's continued arms sales to Russia. They also reportedly noted with concern the possibility of the DPRK receiving or expanding political, economic, technological or military support from Russia.
