The UN has included the Russian army in the list for systematic sexual violence in Ukraine. As reported by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine welcomes the report by the UN Secretary-General.

The United Nations has added Russian armed and security forces to the "blacklist" for sexual violence during the war in Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha on the X social network, UNN reports.

Ukraine welcomes the annual report of the UN Secretary-General, which includes Russian armed forces and security structures among the parties for whom there are reasonable suspicions of systematically committing conflict-related sexual violence. For the first time, Russia has been included in this list of shame—in addition to its previous inclusion in another list of shame for crimes against children,

- Sybiha wrote.

He noted that this double shame proves that Russian criminals have no place in any international forums, any reputable international events, competitions, or initiatives.

Today's inclusion is a key step on the painful path toward truth and accountability. For years, Ukrainian women, men, and children have endured horrific acts of sexual violence as part of Russia's war. Particularly chilling is the systematic use of conflict-related sexual violence against Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilian detainees in Russian captivity—as a tool of terror and humiliation. Accountability for the perpetrators. EU and G7 travel bans for Russian militants. Isolation of Moscow: with such horrific crimes in its "portfolio," Russia should be excluded from every community—from major sporting events to international organizations,

- Sybiha added.

As a reminder,

The United Nations has stated there is a dangerous escalation of the war in Ukraine following the latest large-scale Russian strikes and threats of new attacks.
