The International Register of Damage for Ukraine (RD4U) has begun accepting claims in new categories concerning state humanitarian expenditures to support the affected population and expenses for demining and clearing territories of unexploded ordnance. This was reported by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU), Kyrylo Budanov, according to UNN.

According to him, from the first day of the full-scale invasion, state and local authorities have directed enormous resources toward evacuating people, providing temporary housing, emergency medicine, rehabilitation, and compensation for destroyed homes.
Demining territories contaminated by hostilities also requires significant financial expenditures. The creation of international mechanisms for documenting this damage deprives the enemy of any chance to avoid responsibility for what it has done
He added that Russia must pay for every one of its crimes and compensate for every hryvnia spent on overcoming the consequences of the aggression.
"Ukraine is consistently compiling a full bill for the aggressor state, documenting every expenditure item. The enemy caused this damage—the enemy will pay for it. Justice will be restored," the head of the OPU concluded.
