The Appeals Chamber of the HACC rejected the defense lawyer's complaint and upheld the seizure of property of former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak. He is suspected of laundering UAH 460 million in elite construction near Kyiv.

The Appeals Chamber of the HACC upheld the seizure of property of the former head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, who is suspected in the case of laundering UAH 460 million on elite construction near Kyiv. This was reported by the press service of the HACC Appeals Chamber, UNN reports.

Details

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court considered the defense counsel's appeal against the ruling of the HACC investigating judge of May 15 on the seizure of property of the former head of the OP. It concerns:

  • an apartment in Kyiv;
    • a Mercedes-Benz S 350 D car;
      • funds in bank accounts;
        • shares in the authorized capital of three limited liability companies.

          Based on the results of the review, the panel of judges of the HACC Appeals Chamber left the defense counsel's appeal unsatisfied, and the ruling of the HACC investigating judge unchanged. The ruling of the Appeals Chamber takes effect from the moment of its announcement, is final and not subject to appeal in cassation

          The seizure of property was imposed by the investigating judge in the case concerning the legalization (laundering) of funds through the construction of elite cottages near Kyiv (Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

          On May 14, 2026, a HACC judge ordered the former head of the OP, Yermak, to be held in custody with the possibility of bail of UAH 140 million. SAP prosecutors requested the amount be set at UAH 180 million.

          Yermak is suspected in the case of laundering UAH 460 million on elite construction near Kyiv.

          On May 18, Yermak officially left the pre-trial detention center, where he had been for almost three days. Bail in the amount of UAH 140 million was posted for him.
