The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, took part in a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of chiefs of defense at NATO headquarters in Brussels. This was reported by UNN with reference to Syrskyi's post on Telegram.
Details
During the meeting, Syrskyi informed partners about the current operational situation at the front, the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and key priorities in strengthening the capabilities of Ukrainian troops.
Syrskyi also emphasized that the tactic of active defense allows for exhausting the enemy, restoring positions, and inflicting maximum losses on the foe.
Every day, the Russian army loses at least a thousand servicemen killed and wounded. Since the beginning of 2026, the enemy's total losses have already exceeded 141.5 thousand people, of which more than 83 thousand are irrecoverable
Syrskyi noted that the units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the AFU play an important role in this. For the fifth consecutive month, thanks to their work alone, Russia has been losing more personnel than it is capable of mobilizing.
Ukraine has significantly increased the number of strikes deep in the enemy's rear thanks to the rapid deployment of Middle Strike type drones. We also have certain successes in suppressing Russian air defense at closer ranges, which allows for increasingly effective strikes on logistics hubs, oil refineries, and facilities of the Russian defense-industrial complex
He also thanked the allies for their support of Ukraine and invited the NATO Military Committee to pay a visit to Ukraine.
Recall
The Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have the opportunity to organize three shifts of servicemen to conduct constant rotations every two months.
