Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga reacted to the EU's receipt of liquefied natural gas from Russia. He called for a ban on these imports to EU countries. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UNN reports.
This is unacceptable. Imports of Russian LNG gas to the EU should be banned as part of further sanctions and replaced with supplies from the United States and other partners,
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister added that there is enough liquefied natural gas on the market to avoid financing the criminal Russian regime with its aggression, war crimes and hybrid attacks.
The post says that Siberia's call was his reaction to a Financial Times report that European Union countries imported a record amount of Russian LNG (liquefied natural gas) in 2024.
