The massive night attack by the Russian Federation claimed the life of patrol officer Yehor Terekhin, who was assisting at the site of the shelling in Kyiv, damaged the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Poltava region, and triggered a large-scale fire covering over 20,000 square meters of a logistics center in the Kyiv region, reported Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi on Saturday on social media, writes UNN.
Kyiv. At night, patrol officer Yehor Terekhin, together with his partner, was helping people at the site of the shelling, but the enemy launched a second strike on the same location. As a result of his injuries, Yehor died. He is forever 22. He is survived by his mother and a 9-year-old brother
"A tragic night for Kyiv and the region. A ballistic strike on residential areas. In the capital alone, 9 people died. Over 30 injured, including 4 children," stated the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The most destruction, according to him, is in the Darnytskyi and Solomianskyi districts - about 20 buildings, shops, an educational institution were damaged, and dozens of cars were destroyed.

"Since morning, police investigators have been working at each location - we are documenting Russia's crime and accepting statements from victims about damaged property. Psychologists have also been involved - in these difficult moments, support for every affected family is extremely important. Employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine rescued more than 100 people from damaged buildings," the minister noted.
There is also destruction in the Kyiv region, three people were injured, he continued. "As a result of the strike, a fire broke out, covering over 20,000 square meters of the logistics center. All necessary forces have been deployed to extinguish it," Vyhivskyi reported.

As noted by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi, "in Vyshneve, rescuers managed to localize the fire at a civilian facility."
"In the Poltava region, the building of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was damaged as a result of the strike. The crime is currently being documented, but we are not stopping work. Visitors who have appointments for services are already being received in the shelter," added the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
