"As a result of drone attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, a significant part of consumers in Sumy region remain without electricity," the Ministry of Energy reported.
"The most difficult situation is currently in Sumy region. A massive drone attack on energy infrastructure has been ongoing there since night. A significant number of settlements in the region are de-energized due to damaged equipment," Ukrenergo also added.
Due to the ongoing attack, energy workers "are unable to begin restoration work." The elimination of the consequences will begin immediately after the security situation stabilizes, the ministry indicated.
"Also, part of consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions temporarily remain without electricity," the Ministry of Energy noted.
Energy workers are working in an enhanced mode to restore electricity supply to all subscribers as soon as possible. Restoration work continues around the clock.
"Today, in all regions of Ukraine, from 12:00 to 17:00, measures to limit consumption for industrial consumers will be forcibly applied," Ukrenergo reported.
Consumers were asked, if possible, to use electricity sparingly throughout the day. This helps reduce the load on the system.
