Russia is redeploying some units from regions in or near Ukraine to the Kursk area. This was announced by White House Communications Advisor John Kirby, UNN reports with reference to Voice of America.
"I can't say with certainty how many have left, or may leave, or what their intentions are, but we have started to see some Russian units redeploying to the Kursk area," Kirby said.

Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky announced the establishment of a military commandant's office in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of Kursk region. The AFU took control of 82 settlements, advancing 35 km and controlling more than 1,000 square kilometers of Russian territory.
