According to the AFU Air Force, on the night of May 6 (from 18:00 on May 5), the enemy attacked with 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region, 1 Kh-31 guided air-to-surface missile from the airspace of the Kursk region, as well as 108 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, and "Parodiya"-type decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo – RF, occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske – occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 89 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, and "Parodiya" decoy drones in the north and east of the country. Hits from 2 ballistic missiles, 1 guided air-to-surface missile, and 9 strike UAVs were recorded at 8 locations, as well as the fall of downed debris at 1 location
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
