The Russian Federation attacked Ukraine overnight with a ballistic missile and 232 drones, 217 of which were shot down or suppressed, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Friday, UNN writes.

According to the AFU Air Force, on the night of May 29 (from 6:00 PM on May 28), the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missile from the Kursk region – RF, as well as 232 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and "Parody" type decoy drones from the directions of: Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, and Gvardiyske, Chauda from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 217 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits from a ballistic missile and 14 strike UAVs were recorded at 14 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (UAV debris) at 7 locations
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs remain in Ukraine's airspace.
