A crew member of a vessel flying the flag of Panama was killed as a result of a Russian attack in the Black Sea, and five other sailors are known to be injured, reported Vice Prime Minister for Restoration - Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba on Friday on social media, writes UNN.
As a result of a Russian UAV attack on civilian vessels in the Black Sea waters, a crew member of a vessel flying the flag of Panama was killed, and two other sailors were injured, one of them seriously
"Also, a vessel flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis came under attack, where three crew members sustained minor injuries," added the Vice Prime Minister.
Kuleba emphasized: "This is another proof that Russia is waging a war against freedom of navigation, international trade, and global food security. In the crosshairs are civilian crews, merchant vessels, and maritime infrastructure that ensures the operation of humanitarian and export routes."
"But such crimes must receive a clear international assessment - terrorism. The world cannot get used to civilian sailors becoming targets for Russian weapons," the Vice Prime Minister stated.
