The Red Cross Society noticed a shortage of UAH 3.6 million in humanitarian aid. Charges were brought against the former head of the Pechersk organization, who also falsified volunteer IDs and stored amphetamine.

Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the former head of the Pechersk District Organization of the Kyiv City Organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine was served a notice of suspicion of misappropriation of humanitarian aid in particularly large amounts (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
A former volunteer of this organization is accused of fraud, falsification and sale of volunteer certificates, unlawful use of Red Cross symbols and illegal possession of amphetamine (under Article 190(2), Article 358(3) and (4), Article 309(1) and Article 445 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the former head abused her official position by misappropriating items such as food packages, bedding, blankets, mattresses, wheelchairs, bandages, rubber gloves, and syringes.
During the searches, humanitarian aid worth more than UAH 1 million was seized and transferred to the Kyiv City Red Cross Organization for storage.
It was also discovered that the former volunteer sold fake IDs and used Red Cross symbols on his car. During the search, the police found amphetamine and documents proving the illegal issuance of more than 150 fake volunteer IDs.
