The Government has extended the psychosocial support project in communities until 2027. This will allow for the continued operation of 305 centers and expand access to assistance.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the experimental project for the development of Resilience Centers until November 2027. This was announced on June 18 by the Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, Denys Ulyutin, as reported by UNN.

According to him, this government decision is intended to ensure the accessibility of psychosocial support for people in communities across the country.

Details

Ulyutin emphasized that the extension of the project's funding will allow for the preservation of the already established support network, ensure the stable operation of specialist teams, and expand people's access to high-quality psychosocial assistance.

Yesterday (June 17, — ed.), the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision to extend the experimental project until November 2027, so that such support remains accessible to people in communities across the country

- Ulyutin noted.

He recalled that in April, during the Resilience Forum, together with communities, service providers, and international partners, the results of the first two years of the project's operation were summarized and the next steps were defined.

Among the priorities are improving the quality of services, strengthening professional support for specialists, and further expanding the network of Resilience Centers.

"I thank everyone who joined in the creation and development of Resilience Centers in 305 communities of Ukraine," Ulyutin emphasized.

According to him, the next two years should become a period of development and strengthening for the Centers.

"We are gradually moving from an experimental project to a sustainable support system that will operate in communities across the country," he stressed.

Context

Resilience Centers operate in communities as psychosocial support spaces where people can receive assistance from specialists, particularly in the context of the consequences of war, stress, loss, and other crisis situations.

As a reminder

Earlier, we wrote that 305 resilience centers have been opened in Ukraine as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program. One of the facilities in the Krasyliv community of the Khmelnytskyi region has already received over 3,500 residents.
