Polish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maciej Wewiór stated that Warsaw conveyed a firm position to the Russian diplomat regarding the Kremlin's threats.

"We cannot agree to this. We are making it clear that since Russia, as it claims, is conducting not a war but a special military operation, this means that the scope of these targets should have been limited to military ones,"

he said.

According to Wewiór, the Russian ambassador also heard a "very decisive call to immediately cease the unjustified and illegal aggression and to comply with international obligations and treaties." The Polish Foreign Ministry emphasized that Warsaw's actions were coordinated with other European states, which also summoned Russian diplomats following Moscow's recent statements.

The Polish foreign policy department emphasized that any strike on diplomatic missions in Kyiv would be regarded as a deliberate act of aggression. On the eve, Russia announced the preparation of "methodical strikes" on Kyiv and urged diplomatic personnel to leave the Ukrainian capital.
