The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) decided to increase from August 1 the tariffs of Ukrenergo for electricity transmission for businesses by 25%. This is reported by UNN with reference to the NEURC meeting.
Details
As reported by NEURC, on July 28, the commission at a meeting adopted a number of decisions, in particular, adopted NEURC resolution "On Amendments to NEURC Resolution of December 5, 2025 No. 2009" (on establishing (revising) the tariff for electricity transmission services of NPC "Ukrenergo").
According to the resolution, for the period from April 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026, tariffs for electricity transmission services are set at the level of:
- for system users (except for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises) – UAH 742.91/MWh (excluding value added tax), including the tariff component for fulfilling special obligations to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative energy sources – UAH 360.34/MWh (excluding value added tax);
- for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises – UAH 378.49/MWh (excluding value added tax).
At the same time, from August 1 to December 31, 2026, tariffs for electricity transmission services will be set at the level of:
- for system users (except for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises) – UAH 928.45/MWh (excluding value added tax), including the tariff component for fulfilling special obligations to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative energy sources – UAH 365.19/MWh (excluding value added tax);
- for "green" electrometallurgy enterprises – UAH 563.26/MWh (excluding value added tax).
As stated in the resolution, on July 7, NEURC had already approved the tariff for Ukrenergo, but a legislative conflict needed to be resolved for final approval. According to Law No. 4834-IX, a ban is provided on including special obligations in the "Ukrenergo" tariff, and this norm was supposed to take effect only from January 1, 2030.
Subsequently, the Verkhovna Rada corrected this conflict by adopting draft law No. 14067 "On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Support for the Development of Efficient and Sustainable District Heating."
