The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, commented on the downing of a drone over Estonian territory—he apologized to the Baltic countries for the unintentional actions. This was reported by UNN with reference to Tykhyi's post on the social network "X".
Details
Tykhyi noted that Russia continues to redirect Ukrainian drones into the airspace of the Baltic states using its electronic warfare systems. It does this intentionally, combining these actions with intensified propaganda.
"Our relevant institutions have been and remain in close cooperation to investigate each individual case and find ways to prevent such situations, including with the direct participation of our expert groups,"
The MFA spokesperson emphasized: contrary to the claims of Russian propaganda, neither Estonia, nor Latvia, nor Lithuania, nor Finland have ever allowed their airspace to be used for strikes against Russia. Ukraine has never approached these countries with such a request.
"The Russians have no right to blame Ukraine, the Baltic states, or Finland for the consequences of their own actions and, in a broader sense, their war of aggression,"
