The head coach of the Ukraine national football team, Andrea Maldera, has called up Slovan Bratislava midfielder Danylo Ihnatenko for the national team matches. Meanwhile, Shakhtar goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk and Polissya winger Oleksiy Hutsulyak will miss the training camp due to injuries. This was reported by the UAF, according to UNN.

In contrast, as reported by the UAF, Shakhtar goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk and Polissya winger Oleksiy Hutsulyak will miss the camp due to injuries sustained at their clubs.

Notably, in June 2022, Ihnatenko made his debut for the Ukraine national team in a UEFA Nations League match against Ireland (1:0). On September 24, 2022, in a match against Armenia within the same tournament, he scored his debut goal for the national team. In total, the midfielder has played 5 games for the national team. The last time the midfielder wore the blue-and-yellow jersey was in June 2023, when he played 25 minutes in a friendly match against Germany (3:3).

The Ukraine national football team, under the leadership of Andrea Maldera, has begun a training camp in Lviv. This is the first time since the start of the full-scale war that the team has gathered in Ukraine.

Italian coach Andrea Maldera took charge of the Ukraine national team following the dismissal of Serhiy Rebrov. Previously, Maldera worked for the national team as an assistant to Andriy Shevchenko, who currently heads the UAF.

Under Maldera's leadership, the national team will play a friendly match against Poland on May 31, and against Denmark on June 7.

Maldera announced the squad for the friendly matches against Poland and Denmark. Two newcomers will join the national team: defender Oleksandr Romanchuk and midfielder Hennadiy Synchuk. Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko will replace Yehor Yarmolyuk in the Ukraine national team squad for the upcoming training camp and matches against Poland and Denmark.

The head coach of the Ukraine national team Andrea Maldera has called up goalkeeper Heorhiy Yermakov to the squad. This is the first call-up for the Ukrainian goalkeeper.
