During the meeting, they discussed the involvement of Irish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine and the further development of cooperation between the businesses of the two countries. The first meeting with a foreign leader. I am especially pleased to welcome Prime Minister of Ireland Micheál Martin in Kyiv. Today, the EU agreed on the 21st package of sanctions against russia. This is an important decision that will limit russia's ability to finance the war against Ukraine. I thanked Ireland for its leadership in this process

He noted that Ireland holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union, and Ukraine appreciates the country's contribution to the opening of negotiation cluster 6 "External Relations". 

We expect that during the Irish presidency, it will be possible to complete the opening of all negotiation clusters for Ukraine and move as quickly as possible to practical work on accession. Special focus: winter and the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure. We discussed the involvement of Irish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine and the further development of cooperation between the businesses of our countries, which continues despite russian aggression
