The 70-year-old Kennedy, a prominent environmental lawyer, has spent most of his life in New York, but has been a permanent resident of California for the last decade, living there with his wife, actress Cheryl Hines. She is best known for her role in the sitcom "Curb Your Enthusiasm", for which she was twice nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
