At least 3.5 million rubles are spent monthly on the salaries of governesses for the younger sons of Vladimir Putin and Alina Kabaeva. This is stated in an investigation by the "System" project, associated with "Meduza," reports UNN.

Journalists claim that as of early 2026, at least three foreign governesses—citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, and South Africa—were working with the children. They were officially registered as "leading translators" for the "Sogaz" medical center, which is linked to Putin's inner circle. According to the investigation, part of the payments to the employees may have been handed over in cash.
The documents state that the children were taught foreign languages according to a special program. In particular, the eldest son, Ivan, was already studying English and German at the age of three. Kabaeva's relative, Olesya Fedina, demanded that the child be in a constant "language bath" until the age of four, and that his English "be as coherent as the speech of a literate European."
The staff contracts also contained strict restrictions. Employees were prohibited from imposing political or religious views on the children, and were instructed "under no circumstances to touch upon topics related to LGBT." In addition, the governesses were required to undergo regular medical examinations and submit detailed daily reports on their work.
