"Time does not turn back, and the countries and territories of the region will no longer serve as a shield for American bases. America will no longer have a safe haven for evil or for establishing military bases in the region," Khamenei said.
Khamenei made these comments on his Telegram channel on Tuesday. The statement comes amid discussions between Tehran and Washington regarding framework conditions for ending the three-month war.
Iran's Supreme Leader took office in March after his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in U.S. and Israeli airstrikes. Mojtaba Khamenei has not yet appeared in public.
