Iranian officials have intensified their threats, with a statement by senior Iranian legislator Ebrahim Azizi that "Ukraine may also soon understand that Iran does not leave actions unanswered," following a statement by the head of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi, reports UNN.

"Any attack on Iran always has its price, and this remains true today; the US and Israel are well aware of this," said Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, in a post on X. "Ukraine may also soon understand that Iran does not leave actions unanswered."
The statement came after a drone strike in the Caspian Sea.
On Saturday, Iran summoned Ukraine's chargé d'affaires in Tehran over an attack on an Iranian merchant vessel in the Caspian Sea, which resulted in the death of one sailor and the injury of another, according to Anadolu.
On Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that this "cannot remain unanswered," calling it a violation of the UN Charter.
Araghchi also accused Israel of "trying to drag Europe into its war."
Israel's Channel 12 noted that Ukraine's ambassador to Israel informed him that the vessels are transporting Iranian weapons to Russia to aid it in the war against Ukraine, reports The Times of Israel.
