Iran has informed the IAEA of its intention to expand the use of centrifuges for uranium enrichment at its enterprises. In particular, it is planned to connect new machines that have already been installed at these facilities. This is reported by Reuters, writes UNN.

Iran has already threatened to add thousands of centrifuges in response to a resolution of the IAEA Board of Governors, which includes 35 countries.
Currently, more than 10 thousand centrifuges operate at underground facilities in Natanz and Fordo, as well as at the ground plant in Natanz. The new plans include the installation of 32 more Cascades with approximately 174 machines each, as well as a large cascade with 1,152 improved IR-6 centrifuges.

These centrifuges, which are prohibited under the state nuclear agreement, have a capacity 10 times higher than that of the first-generation IR-1. However, the report does not mention Iran's enrichment of uranium up to 60% (almost to the weapons level), which may indicate some caution before negotiations in Geneva with the United Kingdom, France and Germany, which are aimed at resuming dialogue with Western countries.
