In Estonia, on the wall of Narva Castle, a banner depicting Russian dictator Vladimir Putin as a war criminal will be displayed again on May 9. This was reported by ERR, according to UNN.

The poster has been installed every year since 2023. According to Maria Smorževskihh-Smirnova, director of the Narva Museum, it will be placed on the castle's flagpole tower again this year for Europe Day.

The museum emphasizes that for the border city of Narva, this date holds a special symbolic significance.

In the lead-up to May 9, a series of events dedicated to the theme of war and the role of culture are planned in Narva.
On May 7, the exhibition "Mariupol – City of Happiness, Ghost City" will open at the castle, followed by a documentary screening and a discussion.
On May 8, the international conference "Culture and the Border" will be held at the Narva College of the University of Tartu, with free admission.
The museum noted that they strive to remain a platform for public discussions on contemporary events.
Meanwhile, on the Russian side of the Narva River, preparations for the May 9 celebrations are underway, including the installation of a stage for broadcasts.
