The leader of the Christian Social Union (CSU) group, Alexander Hoffmann, stated that the Bundeswehr should gain access to Ukrainian developments in the field of drone technology. This was reported by DW, according to UNN.
Ukraine should conclude an agreement with Germany on drone technology, believes the head of the Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU) state group in the Bundestag, which is part of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Alexander Hoffmann. He expressed this opinion in an interview with the German publication Bild am Sonntag, published on Sunday, July 26
According to the politician, Germany will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine "under any circumstances." He noted that thanks to this, Kyiv "has developed truly outstanding capabilities — in the field of drones, counter-drone measures, and cruise missiles." Therefore, he said, this is about "dividends for support."
Germany, according to him, must be prepared, if necessary, to very quickly ramp up drone production, and for this it is advisable to use the "know-how" that Ukraine already has today. However, in Hoffmann's opinion, Ukraine "to some extent conceals" these technologies "because it is advantageous from a military-strategic point of view."
We are saying: Germany must participate in these defense innovations to strengthen its own defense potential and deterrence capability. Therefore, we demand the conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement with Kyiv, in which the Ukrainian side commits to sharing its technological capabilities with us

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian drone production has reached a level of 10 million units per year. According to him, this volume is planned to be doubled in the future with the support of partners.
