The rescue operation is ongoing with the participation of Lao and Thai specialists. Rescuers posted a video on social media showing the rescued man exiting the cave with the help of rescue team members.
The search lasted several days
On Wednesday, rescuers discovered five people in the cave and provided them with water and food. An international team of divers, including Finnish specialist Mikko Paasi, is participating in the rescue operation.
Initially, it was believed that seven people could have been in the cave. However, the men who were found informed rescuers that no one else was with them.
After being brought to the surface, the first rescued person was handed over to medics for examination. Rescuers are continuing their work to evacuate the remaining people from the cave. The circumstances under which they became trapped underground are currently being clarified.
