In the capital, a 26-year-old Kyiv resident has been served a notice of suspicion for picking flowers from a flowerbed in a park, spraying a gas canister at passers-by, and striking a police officer during his arrest. The incident occurred in a park on Heorhiya Gongadze Avenue. According to law enforcement officials, the man was picking flowers from a flowerbed, after which passers-by confronted him.

However, in response, as noted by the police, he sprayed an irritant gas canister into people's faces and fled the scene.

Operatives established the offender's location and tracked him down.

During the interaction with law enforcement, the man attempted to escape and struck one of the police officers in the face with his fist.

The police reported that the Kyiv resident's actions have been classified under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

He has now been served a notice of suspicion. The man faces up to five years in prison for his actions.
