Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković stated that he does not support the idea of Ukraine joining the European Union faster than the countries of the Western Balkans. According to him, Bosnia and Herzegovina fully supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and its fight against Russian aggression, but believes that the EU applies different approaches to candidate countries.

At the same time, Konaković stated that he does not consider it right to give Ukraine priority only because of the war.

The Minister also called on the European Union to show political leadership and speed up the accession negotiations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that delaying this process creates opportunities for strengthening Russian influence in the Western Balkans.
