Today, October 23, Ukraine was forced to introduce electricity shutdown schedules in 12 regions, Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk said on Thursday during a telethon, writes UNN.
Energy workers are forced to apply hourly shutdown schedules in 12 regions of Ukraine
According to her, the restrictions will be from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
"Depending on how quickly the repair and restoration work is completed, (...) we will adjust the schedules and hope that the burden on Ukrainians will be less," Hrynchuk noted.
Enemy shelling
"Today, the enemy again attacked energy facilities purposefully, primarily in such regions as Sumy region, Chernihiv region, there were also certain damages in Dnipropetrovsk region, Kharkiv region," the minister said.
Work is already underway, she indicated.
At the same time, she indicated that the energy system is working "stably," which is primarily due to the efforts of energy workers.
Outages due to Russian attacks
"Outages due to hostilities are in Chernihiv region, Sumy region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Donetsk region, Kharkiv region, Zaporizhzhia. These are small volumes, but there are outages in some settlements precisely because of the attacks that occurred tonight," Hrynchuk said.
