72 combat engagements took place in the Ukrainian frontline over the last day. Russians were advancing in six sectors. The most active attacks took place in the Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Novopavlivka and Kherson sectors. The current situation on the battlefield was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Over the last day, 72 combat engagements were registered. In total, the enemy launched 10 missile and 67 air strikes, fired 97 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

In the Liman sector, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Terny, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian defenders withstood 10 enemy assaults. According to the General Staff, the Russians tried to improve the tactical situation near Andriivka, Zelenopillia, Klishchiyivka and Ivanivske in Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy attacked with the support of aviation, trying to drive our units out of their positions. Our defenders withstood 18 attacks near Berdychiv, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka and Pervomayske in Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Here, the occupants are also unsuccessfully storming under the cover of aviation to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Orikhivsk sector, Russians attacked once in Staromayorske, Donetsk region, during the day. Air support for their operation did not ensure success.
In the Kherson sector, the enemy is trying to drive our units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. Russians attacked our troops' positions near Krynky, Kherson region, 14 times.
