From April 1, Ukraine cancels the temporary restriction on transfers between cards of individuals in the amount of 150,000 hryvnias. This is reported by the National Bank of Ukraine, reports UNN.
Details
This limit was introduced by the National Bank in October last year. According to the information, it was valid for six months and concerned transfers between accounts of different persons within the same bank.
It is worth noting that the restriction did not apply to volunteer accounts, individuals with incomes exceeding the established limit, as well as transfers between the client's own accounts.
Despite the expiration of the temporary restriction, leading banks of the country, including Privatbank, Oshchadbank, Monobank and Raiffeisen Bank, initiated new limits on transfers - up to 50 thousand hryvnias per month in December 2024. Subsequently, more than two dozen financial institutions joined this initiative (JSC "Ukreximbank", AB "UKRGASBANK", JSC "CRYSTALBANK", JSC "CB "GLOBUS", PJSC "MTB BANK", JSC "AB "RADABANK", JSC "Idea Bank", JSC "ALTABANK", JSC "Bank Alliance", JSC "EPB", AB "CLEARING HOUSE", JSC "Polikombank", JSC "BANK TRUST-CAPITAL", JSC "Ukrainian Bank for Reconstruction and Development", JSC "OXI BANK", JSC "FIRST INVESTMENT BANK", JSC "AGROPROSPERIS BANK", LLC "NovaPay" (NovaPay), JSC "ProCredit Bank", JSC "Cominbank", JSC "Pravex Bank", LLC "FC "EVO" (RozetkaPay), JSC "BANK "UKRAINIAN CAPITAL", JSC "SENSE BANK", JSC "SKY BANK"), which together control most of the payment card market.
Thus, although the regulatory restriction expires, the banks' own limits will continue to determine the limits of card transfers for Ukrainians.
