A fire broke out in the industrial zone of the city of Kirishi, Leningrad Oblast, following a nighttime drone attack. This was reported by local authorities, Russian social media channels, and the Astra Telegram channel, according to UNN.

According to the regional governor, air defense forces allegedly shot down 18 drones overnight. At the same time, a fire was recorded in the industrial zone, with Ministry of Emergency Situations units and local rescue services deployed to extinguish it.
According to data from the NASA FIRMS monitoring system, fire hotspots were detected on the territory of the Kirishinefteorgsintez (KINEF) oil refinery. This is the largest refinery in the region and one of the largest in Russia, producing gasoline, diesel fuel, gas, and petrochemical products.
Previously, this plant has repeatedly been the target of drone attacks, specifically in 2024, 2025, and 2026. The circumstances of the current incident are being clarified.
