Today, aid from Europe is increasing, including military aid. It is also obvious that they are interested in building the right security package for Ukraine, because it is also their security. This is how Mykhailo Podoliak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President, summarized the summit in Paris on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.

When asked whether there are visible, practical results of the "coalition of the willing" summits, which have been held almost every week recently, Mykhailo Podoliak confidently answered that he can single out 3 basic things.
"First - it is the independence of Europe. They hold these summits to emphasize that we decide our own destiny in order to take responsibility on our own. Step by step, summit after summit, they are getting closer to this decision of subjectivity," he said.
Also, according to Podoliak, at these summits they adopt the following 2 things:
- Significant reformatting of the European financial space. It should invest more in security and defense. There are already concrete logical steps in this regard: new investments, tax breaks, etc.
"As for Ukraine, everything is concrete here. It is a outpost of Europe, so they are changing the financing of relevant industries in their countries. Now even the concept of security guarantees looks different, because they understand that this is a guarantee of security for Europe. Therefore, they sincerely want to find a solution regarding peacekeeping contingents," the advisor to the head of the Presidential Office emphasized.
- Increasing national programs to support Ukraine. They are increasing and expanding, he said.
"Thus, we have a situation where Ukraine does not depend only on military support from the United States. And Europe, in particular, is rethinking the fact that it is still necessary to depend on its own weapons, and not on the weapons of third countries," Podoliak added.
US participation in the "coalition of the willing"
Yesterday at the summit in Paris, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni proposed involving the United States in the "coalition of the willing", while, in fact, the coalition itself appeared after the incident in the Oval Office, as an attempt to maintain support for Ukraine, even without the participation of the United States. Podoliak commented on this in such a way that if it is possible to create new structures and formats of cooperation, on other terms, then it is necessary to do it.
"If the United States is added to the coalition of the willing with certain budgets and a vision of rearmament or other additional opportunities for Ukraine, this is absolutely normal," he said.
Podoliak stressed that Giorgia Meloni has comfortable relations with the Trump administration and can lobby for Ukraine's interests there, and this should be used.
