In the European Union, the bloc's ambassadors have given the green light to further sanctions against the Russian Federation, including a new sanctions "mini-package" and the extension of restrictions regarding Crimea, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Europe editor Rikard Jozwiak reported on X on Wednesday, UNN writes.

"EU ambassadors today approved a series of sanctions against Russia: a 'mini-package' of blacklisting - 9 individuals and 45 entities; 10 individuals and 1 entity for destabilizing activities in the EU; 15 individuals and 1 entity for human rights violations; and a 1-year extension of the ban on investments in Crimea dating back to 2014," Jozwiak wrote.

The day before, the EU presented the 21st package of sanctions against the Russian Federation - affecting the "shadow fleet," energy, banks, and visas for Russian soldiers.
