The SAP prosecutor has decided to complete the pre-trial investigation in the case of the former Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Oleksandr Khayla, who was exposed for receiving a bribe of half a million dollars for granting permission to remove mining equipment from the front-line area. The SAP prosecutor decided to complete the pre-trial investigation in the case of the former Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine and three of his accomplices, who are suspected of receiving illegal benefits for granting permission to remove mining equipment from the front-line area. Today, NABU detectives, on behalf of the SAP prosecutor, have opened materials to the defense for review

- the statement reads.

According to UNN sources, it is about Oleksandr Khayla.

Let's add

It is noted that the pre-trial investigation established that Khaylo, acting in collusion with the head of one of the state coal enterprises in the Donetsk region and another person, expressed a request to the adviser to the head of another coal enterprise located in the western region to provide an illegal benefit in the amount of 500 thousand dollars. In return, they promised to ensure the transfer for storage with the possibility of using this equipment for coal mining.

In fact, it was about evacuating mining equipment from the combat zone and using it in mines in the western region. By agreement, the money was to be transferred in five installments of $100,000 at each meeting.

Let us remind you

In August last year, the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine and three of his accomplices were exposed for receiving a bribe of half a million dollars for granting permission to remove mining equipment from the front-line area.

On the same day, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Oleksandr Khayla from the post of Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine against the background of the case of a bribe of half a million dollars.
