The Hezbollah movement may strike at Israel regardless of Iran's intentions, the American TV channel CNN reports, citing sources, UNN reports.
Details
"Two sources familiar with the intelligence told CNN that it increasingly appears that Hezbollah could strike Israel regardless of what Iran's intentions may be. One of the sources said the Lebanese group is moving faster than Iran in its plans and hopes to strike Israel in the coming days," the channel reports.
Several officials told the TV channel that Iran is apparently still thinking through its plans for action against Israel. An unnamed U.S. military official believes that Iran has made some preparations, but not all of those that the United States would expect to see before a possible major attack on Israel.
Context
Earlier, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that the Lebanese resistance movement is moving to a new level of struggle against Israel after a strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, which killed a senior commander of the movement, Fuad Shukr.
