This was announced by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva during the presentation of the results of the sociological survey “Foreign Policy and Security. Moods of the Ukrainian society”, the correspondent of UNN reports.
The "victory plan" remains relevant for the President. The first point of this plan is to receive an invitation from Ukraine to NATO. This issue remains on the agenda of the president and the foreign policy service of Ukraine. This is really today the best, most optimal security guarantee that Ukraine has for a strategic goal. He noted that Germany's position is decisive.
"Therefore, we continue our dialogue with Germany. The president noted yesterday that the relevant dialogue with the United States will continue. But it is absolutely clear that the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO, unfortunately, remains not yet achievable today. This means as long as the Russian aggression continues, as long as we do not win. Therefore, today we need appropriate guarantees of our security before we join NATO," Zhovkva said.
