The Sosiedko sisters announce a 1.5-year campaign against Concord Bank, which is backed by the head of the Rada's tax committee, Danylo Hetmantsev. The State Bureau of Investigation opened a case on possible abuse of power by the NBU's chief lawyer.

For 1.5 years, a targeted campaign to destroy Concord Bank has been waged against it, led by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev. This is stated in a video published by Olena Sosiedka, UNN reports .

"The Sosiedko sisters are convinced that Danylo Hetmantsev, the head of the Rada's tax committee, is behind the liquidation of Concord. They assume that this was done to concentrate gambling business operations in one hand. The systematic inspections and fines of the National Bank, pressure on the bank and biased attitude for a year and a half are the evidence of a targeted campaign against the bank," says video published on Olena Sosedka's Facebook page.

It is noted that the culmination was the liquidation of Concorde without waiting for the results of the court appeal of the previous fine.

"Moreover, the head of the NBU's legal department, Oleksandr Zyma, ordered the liquidator to withdraw the lawsuits against the National Bank. This made it impossible to further appeal the regulator's actions," the video says.

The State Bureau of Investigation opened criminal proceedings over alleged abuse of power or office by the National Bank's chief lawyer Oleksandr Zyma on December 28, 2023.

Criminal proceedings were opened against Zyma over his letter to the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF). In the document, Zyma, who is both the director of the NBU's legal department and the chairman of the DGF's Administrative Council, recommended on behalf of the National Bank that the Fund withdraw the lawsuits filed by Concord Bank against the NBU. These lawsuits concerned the cancellation of fines amounting to almost UAH 63.5 million and were filed before the decision to liquidate the bank.

The Deposit Guarantee Fund followed this recommendation, which, according to Olena Sosiedka, co-founder of Concord Bank, deprived shareholders of their constitutional right to a fair trial.

The Pechersk Police Department is currently investigating the case. Investigators have already recognized Olena and Yulia Sosedok as victims, which automatically confirmed that the official's actions caused them harm.
