The Poles who brutally beat a Ukrainian man in Radom last December appeared in court. This is reported by UNN, citing Onet.

Among the accused is a former MMA fighter who, according to investigators, allegedly attacked the victim because of his nationality.
Aneta Goźdź, spokesperson for the Radom District Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed to the Polish Press Agency that the indictment in the case had been sent to court back in April.
The case concerns events that took place on December 19, 2025. At that time, a 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen was attacked by a group of men unknown to him in one of Radom’s residential areas. The Ukrainian had earlier been accused of stealing beer from a store. The saleswomen locked him inside the store and demanded compensation. They told an acquaintance about it, and he gathered his friends and beat the Ukrainian.

As a result of the attack, the Ukrainian suffered serious head injuries. Two days later, due to a deterioration in his health, he was taken to a hospital in Radom, where he underwent surgery, after which he remained in serious condition in the intensive care unit.
The attacker was charged with participating in a beating motivated by national origin. According to the prosecutor’s office, the accused confessed to committing the act with which he was charged. During the pretrial investigation, he was taken into custody. He faces a prison sentence of between 3 and 20 years. Law enforcement authorities failed to establish the identities of the other participants in the beating.
In the same case, two saleswomen were also charged. According to the prosecutor’s office, the women locked the Ukrainian inside the store and demanded one thousand zlotys from him in exchange for refraining from reporting the alleged thefts of food products to the police. As a result, they forced the victim to pay more than 500 zlotys. Both women admitted their guilt. For the crime with which they were charged, they face a prison sentence of up to 5 years.
