The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is once again on the verge of blackout after a Russian missile attack cut off the external overhead line connecting it to Ukraine's power grid.

Zaporizhzhia NPP is on the verge of blackout again - during a massive missile attack on Ukraine at 5:10 am, the external overhead line of the OHL-750kV Dniprovska was disconnected. The line connects the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP to the integrated power system of Ukraine. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov with reference to Energoatom, UNN reports.

Details

According to the information, ZNPP is currently connected to the Ukrainian power grid by the Zaporizhzhia TPP-Ferrosplavna 330kV power line, which was repaired by Ukrainian power engineers last week after another Russian shelling.

Context 

On the night of January 22, Zaporizhzhia region suffered an intense missile attack. During the massive air attack, the Russians tried to hit energy infrastructure facilities.
