Ukraine simplified emissions reporting for some businesses

The government has simplified reporting for some businesses regarding atmospheric emissions, the Ministry of Economy announced on Friday, writes UNN.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allowed businesses with a low level of environmental impact to submit a simplified form of the annual report. In particular, they can enter information into the main part of the report in any form.

- the ministry reported.

As stated, this refers to business entities whose facilities belong to the third group in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Atmospheric Air Protection".

This, according to the report, is provided for by amendments to paragraph 7 of the Procedure for submitting and posting a business entity's report on compliance with the terms of the emission permit and the implementation of measures to control compliance with established maximum permissible emissions of pollutants, introduced by the government's resolution on April 1.

"This approach allows optimizing reporting procedures for facilities with a low level of environmental impact and contributes to increasing the efficiency of interaction between the state and business," the Ministry of Economy states.

At the same time, the resolution, as stated, "does not provide for a weakening of requirements in the field of atmospheric air protection." "The obligation of business entities to comply with established standards for maximum permissible emissions, the terms of issued permits, and to ensure the implementation of appropriate control measures remains," the report says.

The adopted decision, as stated, is aimed at improving the regulatory environment, deregulation, and reducing the administrative burden on business while maintaining an appropriate level of environmental protection.
