Ukraine enters top 5 of the medal standings at the European Weightlifting Championships

Ukrainian weightlifters won 12 medals at the European Championships in Batumi. The national team took fifth place in the overall team standings by the number of medals won.
The continental weightlifting championship has concluded in Batumi, Georgia. 368 athletes from 51 countries participated in the competition. The Ukrainian national team's medal haul was bolstered by four awards. This was reported by the NOC of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Details
The following athletes reached the podium:
- Iryna Dombrovska (weight category up to 77 kg): the weightlifter won a bronze medal in both the snatch (110 kg) and the clean and jerk (133 kg). With a total lift of 243 kg, the Ukrainian secured third place overall.
- Vladyslav Prylypko (weight category over 110 kg) won a bronze medal in the clean and jerk (231 kg).
In total, Ukrainian weightlifters won 12 medals (3 gold, 2 silver, 7 bronze) and took 5th place in the overall team standings by the number of awards at the continental championship!
