MFA representative Yaroslav Chornohor stated that Ukraine can no longer ignore the actions of the Lukashenko regime, which has been amassing forces and supporting the Russian army. The issue has reached a public level after Minsk ignored previous signals.
After several years of restrained policy towards Belarus, Ukraine is forced to respond to the actions of the regime of Alexander Lukashenko, which continues to support Russian aggression and build up its own capabilities. This was stated during a conference at Ukrinform by Yaroslav Chornohor, Ambassador at Large for Democratic Transformations, Interaction with Democratic Forces and National Movements of Unfriendly Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, reports UNN.

According to the diplomat, after the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine deliberately did not escalate the Belarusian issue, focusing on countering Russian aggression in the east and south.
If after 2022 it was in Ukraine's interest not to escalate the issue of Belarus, because we had troubles in the east and south, now we cannot ignore what is happening in Belarus. This period of conditional silence was used by the Lukashenko regime to prepare. All this time they were accumulating forces and directing their efforts to support the Russian army
He emphasized that the current situation requires a more active response from Ukraine to the actions of Minsk.
Now the state of affairs is such that Ukraine, in the course of protecting its interests, cannot ignore, for example, the placement of the same repeaters. This problem is not new, it existed at the beginning of the year, and even quite successful means were used to suppress it
According to Chornohor, official Minsk has not drawn the proper conclusions from previous signals from Ukraine.
Apparently, official Minsk, perhaps due to its dependence on Russia, did not understand those quiet efforts of Ukraine. That is why now this issue has come to a more public level and has reached the statements of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy
