"Through the transformation of its military doctrine, Ukraine is winning while defending itself against Russia. It would be hard to understand if we in Europe did not consider it a vital interest to integrate Ukraine's armed forces into our European defense architecture," Kubilius said.
It is noted that the European Commission is likely to present the first proposals next week for further integration of the European defense market "with a detailed analysis and further steps."
"Later this year, we will present a proposal to change the rules for defense procurement. As well as other market rules," Kubilius said.
