Free of charge or with co-payment by e-prescription

As the head of government noted, Ukrainians will be able to receive new medicines free of charge or with a partial co-payment by electronic prescription.

We are preparing to expand the "Affordable Medicines" program starting July 1 this year. We will add a significant number of drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases for all active substances available in Ukraine.

Cardiovascular diseases - the main cause of death

The Prime Minister emphasized that cardiovascular diseases cause about 60% of deaths in Ukraine. Every year, more than 800,000 people are diagnosed with ischemic heart disease, and almost 50,000 suffer a heart attack.

According to her, a significant part of such cases can be prevented through regular treatment and health monitoring.

More than 6 million Ukrainians have already used the program

Svyrydenko reminded that "Affordable Medicines" remains one of the key tools for supporting the population.

Currently, 6.18 million Ukrainians have already used the program, and medicines are available in 17,348 pharmacies across the country. The list already includes 748 items, and medicines for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases are in the highest demand.

For many people, this is daily treatment, so it is important that it is accessible and free of charge.
