Russians attacked the positions of the DFU 44 times since the beginning of the day - General Staff

Since the beginning of the day, June 22, Russian occupiers have attacked the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine 44 times. Artillery shelling of border areas is ongoing: in Sumy region, the settlements of Korenyok, Neskuchne, Ryzhivka, Bunyakine, Rohizne, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Stepanivka, Malushyne were affected; in Chernihiv region - Senkivka, Klyusy. This is reported by UNN with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Details

In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat engagement with the enemy took place; the enemy carried out 34 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the Russians tried three times to break through the defense towards Vilcha and in the area of the settlement of Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces once in the direction of Hlushkivka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of Novoselivka and towards Borova, Drobysheve, and Ozerne.

In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped five attempts by the invaders to move forward near Zakitne and towards the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, no enemy attempts to advance were recorded.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have tried eight times to push the Defense Forces of Ukraine from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and towards the settlements of Serhiivka, Muravka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy tried once to advance in the direction of Sichneve.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the area of Dobropillia and towards Huliaipilske, Hirke, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders once in the area of Stepove.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, no enemy attempts to advance were recorded.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian strikes on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation are part of the implementation of the so-called "long-range sanctions" plan.
