According to Zelenskyy, even before the full-scale invasion, Moscow demanded that NATO "return to the 1997 borders."

"In other words, they demanded to abandon all of you, all of us. It was a foolish and absolutely unacceptable Russian ultimatum, but they will certainly return to it, of course, if they get a new chance,"

 - Zelenskyy stated.

The President emphasized that the common task of Europe and its allies is to prevent the Russian leadership from being able to dictate terms to its neighbors again or start wars without consequences.

"Our common task is to ensure that the Russian leadership can never again issue such ultimatums, try to dominate, or destabilize its neighbors,"

- said the Head of State.

Zelenskyy also thanked the countries of Europe and the USA for supporting Ukraine and emphasized that Ukrainian defense is currently the key factor in deterring Russia.
