Raped a 12-year-old girl: a resident of a frontline village in Donetsk region will be tried

A man from Donetsk region is accused of repeatedly raping the 12-year-old daughter of his live-in girlfriend; the crimes were discovered after the victim was placed in a foster home.
In Donetsk region prosecutors served a notice of suspicion to a man who repeatedly raped the 12-year-old daughter of his partner. This was reported to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports .
From June to August 2023, a 39-year-old resident of of Bakhmut district, while drunk, repeatedly had sexual with the 12-year-old daughter of his partner. When the woman was not at home, the man committed sexual assault and raped the older daughter.

According to investigators, the perpetrator promised the raped girl money for her silence. The child was afraid of her stepfather and 29-year-old mother, who abused alcohol.
In addition to this girl, the family lived with her 8-year-old sister and 5-year-old brother. After evacuation from the frontline settlement, the grieving mother abandoned her children, and so they were placed in a foster family. Already after the children were transferred to another family, the fact of rape was revealed during the girl's medical examination.
Currently, the suspect has been chosen a measure of restraint in the form of custody and was served a notice of suspicion of of rape committed against a person under the age of fourteen (Part 4 of Art. 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
